In just a couple of weeks, we\u2019ll be bidding farewell to 2025. And what a year it has been! Artificial intelligence<\/a> is being incorporated into more aspects of our lives, weight-loss drugs<\/a> have expanded in scope, and there have been some real \u201comg\u201d biotech stories from the fields of gene therapy<\/a>, IVF<\/a>, neurotech<\/a>, and more<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

As always, the team at MIT Technology Review<\/em> has been putting together our 2026 list of breakthrough technologies<\/a>. That will be published in the new year (watch this space). In the meantime, my colleague Antonio Regalado has compiled his traditional list of the year\u2019s worst<\/em> technologies<\/a>.<\/p>\n
