President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,has extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Senator Solomon Ewuga, <\/a>describing him as a committed patriot, and prominent stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) whose contributions to nation-building will remain indelible.<\/p>\n

The President, who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. George Akume, led a Federal Government delegation on a condolence visit to the residence of the late Senator Ewuga.<\/p>\n

Delivering the President\u2019s message, the SGF described the late Senator Ewuga as a close friend, distinguished politician, and an exemplary leader whose service to the nation cut across politics, broadcasting, administration, and national development.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was present at the night of tribute. Solomon and I were very good friends. We were classmates at St. Louis College, Jos and later attended the University of Ibadan. Politics also brought us together.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe served as Deputy Governor, Minister, Secretary of the Party in Plateau State, a broadcaster, and a dedicated public servant who contributed immensely to the growth of APC. He was generous, humane, and committed to the nation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Senator Akume noted that President Tinubu received the news of Senator Ewuga\u2019s passing with deep sorrow.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe asked that you accept his condolences in good faith, and he prayed that God Almighty will not leave you in the cold.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile we may miss him on earth, the angels welcome him. We will continue to support you, and you should not hesitate to reach out whenever the need arises.\u201d<\/p>\n

Responding on behalf of the family, Mrs. Josephine Ewuga expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for honouring the family and recognising the service and sacrifice of her late husband.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am humbled by this visit. This show of love and recognition reflects the value of the service my husband gave to the nation and to the APC family. We thank Mr. President and the delegation for standing with us. We remain committed to contributing to the success of the government in any way we can.\u201d<\/p>\n
