Miley\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>Cyrus <\/strong><\/a><\/span>and her fianc\u00e9, Maxx Morando<\/strong>, began dating in 2021 and have been inseparable ever since. Though they have kept their relationship away from the public eye, the couple sparked engagement rumors when the Disney Channel alum was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger at the December 2025 Avatar: Fire and Ash<\/em> premiere.<\/p>\n

It turns out that the rumors were true because multiple outlets reported that Miley and Maxx were engaged! However, the couple have yet to publicly address the special news.<\/p>\n

Morando Plays Multiple Instruments<\/span><\/h2>\n

\u201cI\u2019m Maxx Morando,\u201d a then-18-year-old Maxx \u2014 who is now 27 \u2014 wrote for Modern Drummer<\/a> <\/em>in 2016. The musician said he had been \u201cplaying drums since I was eight and joined the School of Rock in Hollywood. I met some of my bandmates there, three of whom are Sage, Genessa, and Lydia of the Regrettes. My main influences are Phil Collins, Keith Moon, and Jack Bevan.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although he is best known for playing drums, he can also play guitar, as he demonstrated during an Instagram Live video from 2020<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Maxx Morando Played in the Band The Regrettes<\/h2>\n

Before joining the four-person Los Angeles rock band Liily, Maxx played drums for the punk rock band The Regrettes from 2015 to 2018. Maxx met his bandmates Lydia Night, Sage Chavis<\/strong>, and Genessa Gariano<\/strong> while attending music school. The group released their debut EP, Hey!<\/em>, in 2015, followed by their debut album, Feel Your Feelings Fool!<\/em>, in 2017.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re excited that the incredible Mike Elizondo produced our record,\u201d he told Modern Drummer<\/em> at the time. \u201c<\/em>The recording process was extremely fun and taught me so much. We recorded live, straight to tape, all in the same room, all at the same time. I was super focused on getting the best take every time as I couldn\u2019t go back and re-do little parts. But because of this, I would focus too much and start to stiffen up and not play the way I wanted. After we did a few songs, I started to loosen up, and just played how I\u2019d play live. It taught me to just play drums like I usually would, comfortably. It brought out some really great takes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maxx left the group in 2018, after the release of their Attention Seeker <\/em>EP. Maxx then teamed with singer Dylan Nash<\/strong>, guitarist Sam De La Torre<\/strong>, and bassist Charlie Anastasis <\/strong>to form Liily. \u201cWe all knew each other and ran in the same circle of friends,\u201d he told Soundazed<\/a>. \u201cSome of us went to school together, and some of us have known each other since we were around seven.\u201d The group released their debut single, \u201cToro,\u201d in late 2018.<\/p>\n

Described as a \u201criffy, aggressive alt-rock combo from Los Angeles,\u201d Liily continued to build a buzz over the following years. They released their debut album, TV or Not TV<\/em>, in 2021.<\/p>\n
