{"id":876782,"date":"2025-10-11T00:17:06","date_gmt":"2025-10-11T05:17:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/11\/isak-confident-liverpool-upturn-will-come-after-international-break\/"},"modified":"2025-10-11T00:17:06","modified_gmt":"2025-10-11T05:17:06","slug":"isak-confident-liverpool-upturn-will-come-after-international-break","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/11\/isak-confident-liverpool-upturn-will-come-after-international-break\/","title":{"rendered":"Isak confident Liverpool upturn will come after international break"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Soccer <\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mmwebhandler.aff-online.com\/C\/35442?sr=155474&#038;anid=\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.soccernews.com\/wp-content\/themes\/SN\/images\/300x250_HR.gif\"><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Alexander Isak is confident his form for Liverpool will improve after the international break, having adapted to life on Merseyside following his move from Newcastle United.<\/p>\n<p>Isak joined the Premier League champions in a British record deal worth \u00a3130m last month, following a protracted saga that saw him frozen out of the Magpies\u2019 squad after submitting a transfer request.<\/p>\n<p>The striker has made six appearances for Arne Slot\u2019s side in all competitions, but his only goal in Red came in a 2-1 EFL Cup win over Championship side Southampton.<\/p>\n<p>Isak has made four starts and played 312 minutes overall for Liverpool, getting four of his nine shots on target while underperforming his tally of 1.41 expected goals (xG).<\/p>\n<p>Slot\u2019s side were knocked off the top of the Premier League table following a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea before the international break, their third straight loss after going down 2-1 at Crystal Palace and 1-0 against Galatasaray.<\/p>\n<p>But Isak is confident both he and Liverpool will improve after the international break, having gone through a period of transition following the arrivals of seven new players. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m working hard to push myself and play my game,\u201d Isak said. \u201cThings have been a bit tougher for us. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe that as the team improves and things start to flow better, it will also get better for me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been really happy so far. I\u2019m in a city where the team has a very good relationship with the fans, which is important.
