Manchester United head coach Marc Skinner has urged his players to show \u201cmaturity\u201d as they embark on their first-ever Women\u2019s Champions League campaign.<\/p>\n

United, who reached the main stage after overcoming Brann in qualifying, kick off their European journey at home to Valerenga on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Coming off the back of a 1-1 draw against defending Women\u2019s Super League champions Chelsea, United will be eager to continue their positive start. <\/p>\n

The Red Devils head into the clash unbeaten so far this season, and Skinner believes his side are ready for the challenge.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve spoken about this as a team \u2014 we want to compete at the highest level,\u201d Skinner told reporters.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe in ourselves; you\u2019ve seen that in our performances this year so far.<\/p>\n

Skinner, who guided United to Champions League qualification for the first time in the club\u2019s history, hopes his side can carry their domestic form onto the European stage.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an exciting time, but I don\u2019t want that excitement to become naivety. We\u2019ve talked about maturity \u2014 that\u2019s the key. If we can show maturity and play the way we have been, I don\u2019t think many teams will want to face us.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
