Billionaire hedge fund manager Paul Tudor Jones<\/a> reaffirmed\u00a0his growing preference for Bitcoin<\/a> over gold as a hedge against inflation, while also signaling optimism about further market gains.<\/p>\n

Jones, founder and chief investment officer of Tudor Investment Corporation, which oversees roughly $40 billion in assets, made the remarks during an appearance on CNBC\u2019s Squawk Box<\/a> on Oct. 6.<\/p>\n

He said he maintains a \u201csingle-digit\u201d exposure to cryptocurrencies in his portfolio. He added that the global financial system is \u201cmoving into an increasingly digitized world,\u201d where Bitcoin\u2019s fixed supply makes it a superior safeguard against rising prices.<\/p>\n

He also noted that he sees structural trends shifting toward digitization and alternative monetary systems. He described Bitcoin as \u201cvery appealing\u201d in the current macroeconomic environment and believes it will outperform all other asset classes.<\/p>\n

According to Jones:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWe\u2019re in a period that\u2019s conducive for massive price appreciation in a variety of assets.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Jones compared the flagship crypto to gold, a long-standing safe-haven asset that has struggled to keep pace with inflation-adjusted returns in recent years.<\/p>\n

He said:<\/p>\n

\u201cBitcoin will be a great hedge\u2026 Gold has its role, but in a world of monetary stimulus and fiscal expansion, Bitcoin\u2019s fixed supply and decentralized nature give it a leg up.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He added that Bitcoin\u2019s appeal is not just speculative but increasingly relevant as a portfolio diversifier and inflation shield.<\/p>\n

As of press time, Bitcoin was trading at new highs above $125,000, a far cry from its initial value of less than $1 in 2009. The exponential growth, driven by limited supply, growing institutional interest, and a global search for inflation-resistant assets, made Bitcoin one of the most profitable investments in history.<\/p>\n

Jones, one of the first major Wall Street figures to publicly endorse Bitcoin<\/a>, originally disclosed his position in 2020, calling it \u201cthe fastest horse in the race\u201d during a period of unprecedented monetary stimulus by central banks.<\/p>\n

He also weighed in on the broader markets, telling hosts that he expects the stock rally to have room to run before reaching what he called a \u201cblow-off top.\u201d<\/p>\n
