Anthem Publishing \u2013 not the overarching Anthem Entertainment, to which multiple IP plays were previously attached \u2013 just recently confirmed the investment. As described by the purchaser, the deal encompasses \u201can extensive catalog from\u201d Illinois-born and Nashville-based Mark Holman.<\/p>\n
Beyond this top-level detail, however, Anthem opted against publicly disclosing the transaction\u2019s price tag or the precise number of involved works. DMN reached out for additional information, but a rep only reiterated the inclusion of a \u201cselection of songs\u201d as opposed to Holman\u2019s whole catalog.<\/p>\n
Keeping the focus on what we do know, Holman \u2013 who in June 2021 inked a co-publishing agreement with Big Loud and Warner Chappell; a July 2025 extension announcement<\/a> swapped the latter publisher for ERN\u2019s Cadillac Music \u2013 has penned tracks popularized by Cole Swindell<\/a>, Luke Bryan<\/a>, Hardy<\/a>, Jordan Davis<\/a> (who\u2019s likewise partnered with Anthem), Trace Adkins<\/a>, Post Malone<\/a>, and Florida Georgia Line<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve had the pleasure of working directly with Mark in the past,\u201d added Anthem Publishing Nashville creative VP Noah Dewey, \u201cso this feels like a full circle moment with a good friend. His undeniable talent shows through in every song in this catalog. Anthem is honored to be trusted with this outstanding body of work.\u201d<\/p>\n And in remarks of his own, Holman touted Anthem as \u201ca champion for music and songwriters.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m really excited these songs have found a home and I\u2019m very grateful to Noah and the Anthem team,\u201d Holman said. \u201cAnthem has always been a champion for music and songwriters and Noah is one of the best to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n In the bigger catalog picture, country isn\u2019t the sole focus for Anthem, which has an interest in Timbaland\u2019s work<\/a> and took a stake in Darell\u2019s IP<\/a> 11 months ago. But the Toronto-headquartered company is certainly bolstering its reach in the genre, including with deals for the song rights of Beth and Luke Laird<\/a>, Matt Alderman<\/a>, Marty Robbins<\/a>, and now Holman.<\/p>\n<\/section><\/div>\nAnthem also confirmed the play\u2019s encompassing \u201cthree standout tracks\u201d penned by Holman and featured on the mentioned Wallen\u2019s Dangerous: The Double Album<\/em>: \u201cNeon Eyes,\u201d \u201cMe on Whiskey,\u201d and \u201cWhatcha Think of Country Now.\u201d<\/h4>\n
