RICS is exploring the residential retrofit surveying entry pathway for people specialising in home improvements across six key roles: lead professional, assessor, designer, contract administrator, builder and post retrofit inspector.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"adid2551\" data-href=\"http:\/\/www.theconstructionindex.co.uk\/redirect\/campaign\/12813\/\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theconstructionindex.co.uk\/redirect\/campaign\/12813\/\" title=\"Related Information\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"728\" height=\"90\" alt=\"Related Information\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theconstructionindex.co.uk\/assets\/adverts\/96918-1755781116-Draeger Sept 25.png\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>The sustainability advisory pathway will support people specialising in strategic sustainability advice within the built and natural environment. It will assess expertise in climate action, nature, circularity and social value, with emphasis on governance, risk, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theconstructionindex.co.uk\/view-companies\/Asset-Finance\/723?q=asset+finance?utm_source=tci_news&#038;utm_medium=auto_keyword_link\" title=\"Search for suppliers of Finance\" target=\"_blank\">finance<\/a> and \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Systems_thinking\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">systems thinking<\/a>\u2019, RICS said.<\/p>\n<p>RICS hopes to recruit 30 candidates for the pilot round of assessments. Applications are invited from individuals or their employers via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rics.org\/join-rics\/sector-pathways\/exploring-new-professional-pathways-rics-membership\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rics.org.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Luay Al-Khatib, director of RICS\u2019s \u2018future innovation hub\u2019, said: \u201cOur built and natural environment require highly expert and ethical management. The professional skills and competencies of professionals are transforming to rise to the immense task of delivering a sustainable and low-carbon built environment and harnessing the power of data and technology effectively.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe new membership pathways we are proposing will extend the reach of surveying, welcoming key professionals responsible for planning and managing the future of our cities and communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe invite expressions of interest from employers and individuals for these pathways.
