{"id":872688,"date":"2025-09-13T21:12:44","date_gmt":"2025-09-14T02:12:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/13\/sisk-returns-to-profit-as-revenue-surges-past-600m\/"},"modified":"2025-09-13T21:12:44","modified_gmt":"2025-09-14T02:12:44","slug":"sisk-returns-to-profit-as-revenue-surges-past-600m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/13\/sisk-returns-to-profit-as-revenue-surges-past-600m\/","title":{"rendered":"Sisk returns to profit as revenue surges past \u00a3600m\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>John Sisk &#038; Son Ltd has returned to profit with a 31 per cent jump in revenue.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The company turned over \u00a3624.9m in the year ended 31 December 2024, up by almost a third from \u00a3475m in 2023, as work increased across its key sectors, from commercial, sports &#038; leisure<span>\u00a0<\/span>and healthcare to residential, infrastructure and life sciences.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/peoplemoves\/sisk-boss-paul-brown-named-next-build-uk-chair-04-08-2025\/\">contractor reported a pre-tax profit<\/a> of \u00a36m for 2024, having posted pre-tax losses of \u00a39.7m and \u00a32.6m in its previous financial years due to issues with underperforming civils contracts and legacy building safety issues. <span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The company hired an average of 767 people during the year, up from 716 a year earlier.
