The scheme also includes two floors of office space, a decked car park, service yards, landscaping, drainage and building services.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"634\" data-end=\"848\">The facility is designed to achieve BREEAM Outstanding and EPC A+ (offices) and A (warehouse) ratings.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"634\" data-end=\"848\">It will target net zero carbon for upfront emissions with a performance goal below 300kg of carbon dioxide per square metre, McLaren said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"850\" data-end=\"1053\">The site was used as an airfield during the Second World War before becoming a Honda plant in the late 20th century.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"850\" data-end=\"1053\">Panattoni is redeveloping the area after the carmaker closed its operations in 2021.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1055\" data-end=\"1304\">UMC Architects is leading the design, with KAM Project Consultants as quantity surveyor and BWB Consulting as structural and civil engineer.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1055\" data-end=\"1304\">Construction CDM Services is principal designer, while C3 Design Approvals is overseeing building control.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1055\" data-end=\"1304\"><em>Source: McLaren press release<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/buildings\/mclaren-wins-swindon-warehouse-job-12-09-2025\/\" class=\"button purchase\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Read More<\/a><br \/>\n Ben Vogel<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>McLaren Construction (Midlands &amp; North) has secured a contract from developer Panattoni to deliver a warehouse and distribution centre at Panattoni Park Swindon.
