The Super Eagles striker appeared in two games at the 2018 FIFA World Cup\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n

Super Eagles<\/a> striker Simy Nwankwo<\/a> is close to completing a move to Saudi Arabian Division 1 club Al Orubah, Soccernet.ng reports.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nwankwo just became a free agent this summer, following the expiration of his contract at Salernitana.<\/p>\n

He joined the club in 2022 and went on multiple loan transfers to Parma and Benevento, but he remained their since 2023 until his contract ended.<\/p>\n

Following the expiration of his contract at the end of last season, Nwakwo has attracted a lot of interest from clubs abroad.<\/p>\n

In a recent report by Soccernet.ng, Nwankwo was linked to Turkish Lig 1. club Sakaryaspor.<\/a> He was also linked to Romanian giants CFR Cluj.<\/p>\n

However, new reports from Italian transfer expert Matteo Moretto<\/a> suggest that the 33-year-old striker is close to joining Saudi Arabian Division 1 club Al Orubah, with the deal only subject to medicals.<\/p>\n

If the deal is eventually completed, Nwakwo will join fellow Super Eagles star William Troost-Ekong.<\/p>\n

Nwakwo came on as a late substitute when Nigeria was desperate for a goal. But he could not help the team, as it ended 2-1.<\/p>\n

He has four caps in total for the Super Eagles, and it is highly unlikely that it will increase before he retires.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
