Not long ago, Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth released a YouTube video titled \u201cThank You! The Legacy of Thor\u201d \u2013 a two-minute clip looking back at the actor\u2019s time as the character.<\/p>\n

From the title and tone of the clip, many took this as the video was suggesting Hemsworth\u2019s time with the character was up and his appearance in the upcoming \u201cAvengers: Doomsday\u201d would be his last.<\/p>\n

If so, it wouldn\u2019t be entirely a shock, the actor is one of the few original Avengers still playing his role, and he can\u2019t keep it up forever. The poor reception to \u201cThor: Love and Thunder\u201d also seemed to scuttle any further plans for that solo franchise.<\/p>\n

The clip caused such a stir that some even accused the actor of spoiling a major \u2018Doomsday\u2019 secret, while others quickly began to come up with story theories. In a new interview with THR<\/a>, Hemsworth clarified the remarks and said the clip was misinterpreted, with he and his publicity team realising their mistake too late:<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a few people ask me about it, and someone on my team said, \u2018Ugh, we\u2019ve given the wrong impression here.\u2019 We didn\u2019t do any [damage control]; there was no damage control necessary. But a lot was read into a little. I was [already] off starting another chapter of this character, and this journey has been the biggest part of my career. So [the video] was a moment of gratitude, and it wasn\u2019t anything else. But it definitely got misconstrued and perceived in a different way.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Hemsworth also touched upon his other notable action franchise, Netflix\u2019s \u201cExtraction\u201d films. The actor has played black ops mercenary Tyler Rake twice now and is keen to take on the part again:<\/p>\n

\u201c[Tyler Rake is] getting restless. We, the creative team, are putting together some different ideas and creative ventures of where we could take the whole place and the [third] film. But the intention is to certainly make another one. I don\u2019t know exactly when, but yeah, it\u2019ll be coming.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Hemsworth is currently out promoting the second season of his Disney+ series \u201cLimitless\u201d and revealed he was originally going to attempt to surf a 40-foot wave, but the risk assessors wouldn\u2019t approve it. Instead, he ended up climbing a 200-meter dam wall.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
