A YouTube channel has come under fire from Nollywood actress Adebimpe Oyebade, better known by her stage name Mobimpe, for allegedly stealing and profiting from her original work without her consent.<\/p>\n

The actress, in a sharply worded post on her Instagram stories Thursday morning, bemoaned the ongoing exploitation of her videos and accused the channel of copyright violation, deceit, and outright exploitation.<\/p>\n

Mobimpe expressed her annoyance and\u00a0also described\u00a0the behavior\u00a0as\u00a0extremely disrespectful and threatened to discipline the impostor. She underlined that as artists work so hard, such intellectual theft is not to be tolerated.<\/p>\n

The actress wrote, \u201cI\u2019m tired. I\u2019m fed up. Someone created a YouTube channel named MOBIMPEWRITE\u2019s STORIES just to copy everything I do. Video for video. Poster for poster. She waits for me to post, then uploads the same thing, tricking people into believing it\u2019s me.<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cYesterday was my mum\u2019s birthday. And this person stole my entire caption and my entire post and made it hers, like it meant nothing. That\u2019s not inspiration. That\u2019s disrespectful.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s gaining subscribers, followers, likes, and comments, growing off my hard work and deceiving people who think it\u2019s me. And the painful part? Some of you don\u2019t even know it\u2019s not me!<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a team. We\u2019ve tried to report this page, but it seems this person is determined to keep stealing my work, my sweat, my ideas, my creativity.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m mentally exhausted. Imagine pouring your heart into your work only for someone else to keep stealing it and smiling. I don\u2019t talk much, but today, I need to speak out. And she\u2019s NOT THE ONLY ONE, but today, I\u2019m starting with her!<\/p>\n

Just know that you will not go scot-free. What you\u2019re doing is deeply wrong.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re impersonating me and deceiving people\u2014and one thing I can assure you is this: you will be caught. Soon.<\/p>\n
