Bridgerton<\/em> star<\/a> Simone Ashley may have left the corsets and ballgowns of the period piece behind, but she\u2019s keeping its candy-color palette, recently stepping out for a stroll in New York City wearing shades of turquoise and carrying a bright yellow bag that contrast for an almost aggressively bright take on summer cheer.<\/p>\n

On August 9, Ashley was photographed in a light blue lace camisole paired with a snakeskin-patterned silk skirt that flared out to create a mermaid-like silhouette; in fact, Ashley played one of Ariel\u2019s sisters in Disney\u2019s recent live-action remake of The Little Mermaid,<\/em> so maybe that\u2019s been an influence on her style too? She skipped extra jewelry, save for simple gold earrings, and accessorized with brown sunglasses and classic white Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.
