The preseason is over, so it’s time to update the quarterback tiers. For Tiers 5.0, I’m only going to list the players in each tier with any potential changes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You can also see the full list of Tiers 2.0 here<\/a><\/span>, Tiers 3.0\u00a0 and Tiers 4.0 here<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n And for context, this is based on six points for passing touchdowns, one point for every 25 yards passing and minus-2 points for each interception, as well as one point for every 10 yards rushing. Hopefully, these tiers can help with any draft decisions you have to make this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n Lamar Jackson<\/p>\n Josh Allen<\/p>\n Jayden Daniels<\/p>\n Joe Burrow<\/p>\n Jalen Hurts<\/p>\n No change from Tiers 4.0.<\/p>\n Patrick Mahomes<\/p>\n No change from Tiers 4.0.<\/p>\n Baker Mayfield<\/p>\n Bo Nix<\/p>\n Dak Prescott<\/p>\n No change from Tiers 4.0.<\/p>\n Justin Fields<\/p>\n Kyler Murray<\/p>\n Drake Maye<\/p>\n No change from Tiers 4.0.<\/p>\n Brock Purdy<\/p>\n Jared Goff<\/p>\n Jordan Love<\/p>\n Trevor Lawrence<\/p>\n Caleb Williams<\/p>\n Justin Herbert<\/p>\n Williams moved into this tier after a strong preseason. I hope what he showed against Kansas City and Buffalo carries over into the regular season, and Williams has sleeper appeal with a late-round pick.<\/p>\n J.J. McCarthy<\/p>\n C.J. Stroud<\/p>\n Tua Tagovailoa<\/p>\n Williams moved up out of this tier, and I moved Stroud ahead of Tagovailoa. I love the Texans schedule this season for Stroud.<\/p>\n Michael Penix Jr.<\/p>\n Bryce Young<\/p>\n Cam Ward<\/p>\n Matthew Stafford<\/p>\n Anthony Richardson was in this tier, but he’s out now with Daniel Jones named the starting quarterback for the Colts.<\/p>\n Daniel Jones<\/p>\n Geno Smith<\/p>\n Sam Darnold<\/p>\n Aaron Rodgers<\/p>\n Russell Wilson<\/p>\n Joe Flacco<\/p>\n Anthony Richardson<\/p>\n Jones moves to the top of this tier, and Richardson is at the bottom. I still expect Richardson to get some starts this season, and he could be Fantasy relevant if he plays enough games.<\/p>\n Spencer Rattler<\/p>\n Jaxon Dart<\/p>\n Tyler Shough<\/p>\n Shedeur Sanders<\/p>\n Dillon Gabriel<\/p>\n Jimmy Garoppolo<\/p>\n Jalen Milroe<\/p>\n Kirk Cousins<\/p>\n Rattler is at the top of this tier since he’s starting for the Saints, but we’ll see how long he keeps the job.
