When I\u2019m not reading or taking my Corgis to the dog park, I\u2019m cooking. There\u2019s something special about exploring the world through food, so I\u2019m always on the lookout for new cookbooks to add to my collection. There\u2019s also the world of food writing. Whether it\u2019s a chef giving their opinion about a certain cuisine or a food critic sharing their go-to restaurants, I\u2019m here for it. This fall, there\u2019s a host of must-read cookbooks and food writing hitting a bookshelf near you. Here are the contenders from my TBR.<\/p>\n

Good Things: Recipes and Rituals to Share with People You Love: A Cookbook<\/a> by Samin Nosrat (September 16th) <\/h3>\n

From the moment I first flipped through its pages, I fell in love with Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat<\/a>. For a while, I gave copies of Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat<\/em> for every birthday. I\u2019ve given away so many copies that I used to buy them in batches because I knew I\u2019d go through them that quickly. So the moment I saw the announcement for Samin Nosrat\u2019s new cookbook, I gasped and pre-ordered my copy so fast. Good Things<\/em> focuses on joy and the pleasure of sharing food with the ones you love.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I adored The Cooking Gene<\/a> and Kosher Soul<\/a>, so as soon as I heard about Michael W. Twitty\u2019s new southern cookbook, it jumped to the top of my wishlist. Twitty\u2019s Recipes<\/em> from the American South delves into Southern cooking fundamentals, emphasizing the history of the region\u2019s iconic cuisine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Vietnam: The Cookbook<\/a> by Ana\u00efs Ca Dao van Manen (October 22nd) <\/h3>\n

Ana\u00efs Ca Dao van Manen\u2019s new cookbook, Vietnam<\/em>, is a deep dive into the country\u2019s diverse cuisine. From sauteed baby clams to mung bean dumplings, the recipes give readers a tour of an incredible range of dishes. Plus, the photos are stunning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Anthony Bourdain Reader: New, Classic, and Rediscovered Writing<\/a> by Anthony Bourdain, edited by Kimberly Witherspoon (October 28th)<\/h3>\n

This one-of-a-kind anthology features nonfiction and fiction writing from Anthony Bourdain. While Bourdain became well-known for his award-winning food shows, he made his name with his memoir, Kitchen Confidential<\/em>. Bourdain loved writing in several different modes and genres, which is highlighted by editor Kimberly Witherspoon\u2019s selection for this collection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
