Brazil Women clinched a narrow 5-run win over Nigeria Women via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method in a rain-affected match at the Kwibuka Women\u2019s T20 tournament<\/a> on Wednesday at the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium.<\/p>\n

Chasing a modest target of 93 set by Nigeria, Brazil were 59 for 4 when rain halted play. With no possibility of resumption, the South Americans were declared winners by DLS calculations.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Nigeria posted 92 runs on a sluggish surface, with Brazil\u2019s tight bowling and sharp fielding restricting any major breakthroughs.<\/p>\n

The closely fought encounter highlighted Brazil\u2019s growing stature in international women\u2019s cricket.<\/p>\n

The Kwibuka Women\u2019s T20 tournament is held annually in Rwanda in memory of the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.<\/p>\n

As part of the commemorative activities, participating teams, including Rwanda\u2019s national side, visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial to pay their respects and deepen their understanding of the country\u2019s history.<\/p>\n
