Photo by IMAGO<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Galatasaray\u2019s record-breaking capture of Nigerian striker <a href=\"https:\/\/Soccernet.ng\/tag\/osimhen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Victor Osimhen<\/a> has been described as both reckless and smart investment by Fortuna Sittard co-owner Isitan G\u00fcn, Soccernet.ng reports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Isitan G\u00fcn is convinced that <a href=\"https:\/\/soccernet.ng\/2025\/08\/nigerians-victor-osimhen-galatasaray.html\">Galatasaray&#8217;s historic \u20ac75 million deal to sign Osimhen<\/a> is a one-off moment in Turkish football history.<\/p>\n<p>Osimhen completed his move from <a href=\"https:\/\/Soccernet.ng\/tag\/napoli\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Napoli<\/a> to the Super Lig champions in a transaction that will be paid in two instalments, the highest transfer fee ever paid by a Turkish club. That form convinced the club\u2019s hierarchy that he could deliver sustained success, and a potential resale profit.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThis transfer is also an investment.
