One way of doing so is to showcase the female talent that already exists and make it clear exactly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/366627877\/Thousands-of-women-in-tech-leave-their-roles-each-year\">what is standing in women\u2019s way<\/a> when it comes to a thriving tech career.<\/p>\n<p>Providing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/366615679\/From-beauty-model-to-tech-role-model-this-years-most-influential-woman-in-UK-tech\">visible and accessible role models<\/a> is another reason Computer Weekly launched the list of the Most Influential Women in UK Technology 14 years ago, as many young women choose not to pursue a career in the sector or drop out of tech-based education because <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/252526202\/Why-the-Most-Influential-Woman-in-UK-Tech-2022-created-a-book-of-role-models\">they don\u2019t believe it\u2019s for people like them<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This is a problem that could be solved if they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/252526202\/Why-the-Most-Influential-Woman-in-UK-Tech-2022-created-a-book-of-role-models\">see more role models in the sector<\/a>\u00a0whose footsteps they can aspire to follow.<\/p>\n<p>As pointed out by the 2024 winner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/366615695\/Computer-Weekly-announces-the-Most-Influential-Women-in-UK-Tech-2024\">Sheridan Ash, co-CEO of technology education charity Tech She Can<\/a>: \u201cI want to persuade girls they have a role to play in making sure that the world isn\u2019t just developed by a lot of white \u2018tech bros\u2019, that they could be part of making sure the world is a fit place for everybody, and that it is somewhere women are treated equally in creating that world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ttgtmedia.com\/rms\/computerweekly\/2025-Most-Influential-Women-in-UK-Tech-logo-400px.jpg\" alt width=\"269\" height=\"149\">\n<\/p>\n<p>Each year, we recognise the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/366554296\/Computer-Weeklys-Women-in-UK-Tech-Rising-Stars-2023\">technology sector\u2019s Rising Stars<\/a> alongside the top 50, as well as adding several great women in tech to our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/366547833\/Most-Influential-Women-in-UK-Tech-Computer-Weeklys-Hall-of-Fame\">Hall of Fame, of which there are now more than 50 members<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once the nominations are received, a group of expert judges will choose the top 50 shortlist, after which Computer Weekly readers can vote on the top 50 via an online poll to indicate who on the shortlist they believe should be named the 2025 Most Influential Woman in UK Technology.<\/p>\n<p>The winner, as well as the full top 50 list, will be announced at the Computer Weekly and Harvey Nash <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/366618005\/Diversity-in-tech-2024-Collaboration-is-vital-for-DEI-progress\">diversity in tech event<\/a> in London
