Bobby Lee<\/strong><\/a> got real about why he thinks his And Just Like That<\/em><\/a> character wasn\u2019t asked back for season 3.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome of the woke elements of the show, they got rid of, and I think I was a part of that,\u201d Lee, 53, claimed to Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a> at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 24. \u201cI think Sara [Ramirez]<\/strong><\/a> didn\u2019t come back and some other people. They tried to put minorities in, and \u2014 I don\u2019t know. I never saw the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to HBO Max for comment.<\/p>\n

Lee played Jackie Nee, Carrie Bradshaw\u2019s (Sarah Jessica Parker<\/strong><\/a>) podcast cohost, for the first two seasons of the Sex and the City<\/em><\/a> spinoff. He claimed to EW<\/em> that he wasn\u2019t asked back for season 3, which is currently airing.<\/p>\n

And Just Like That<\/em>\u00a0picks up with SATC\u2019s<\/em> Carrie, Miranda Hobbs, played by Cynthia Nixon<\/strong><\/a>, and Charlotte York, played by Kristin Davis<\/strong><\/a>, as they navigate New York City in their 50s. OG star Kim Cattrall<\/strong><\/a> did not return as Samantha Jones<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While Lee was a fun addition when Carrie was focused on her podcast, season 3 has pivoted to the columnist\u2019s work on her new novel. With that change, Carrie\u2019s full podcast team did not return for the current season, including Lee\u2019s Jackie, Ivan Hernandez<\/strong>\u2019s Franklyn Silvias and Ali Stroker<\/strong>\u2019s Chloe.<\/p>\n
Ramirez, who played Miranda\u2019s love interest<\/a>, Che Diaz, for the first two seasons, also exited the series<\/a> ahead of season 3. (Che and Miranda called it quits during a season 2 episode in July 2023, agreeing their romance was a \u201ctrainwreck\u201d but a \u201cgood trainwreck.\u201d)<\/p>\n

Karen Pittman<\/strong>, who portrayed Miranda\u2019s professor and later friend Nya Wallace, didn\u2019t return for the current season either.<\/p>\n
Season 3 has also brought new characters<\/a> into the fold, including Miranda\u2019s brief fling named Mary (Rosie O\u2019Donnell<\/strong><\/a>), who was a Canadian tourist. Dolly Wells<\/strong> later joined the cast as Miranda\u2019s latest love interest, Joy.<\/p>\n
Despite only lasting two seasons, Lee told EW<\/em> that he has nothing but love for the cast and crew<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Because it wasn\u2019t my brand, really. You know what I mean? But I did it. I walked through the fear.\u201d<\/p>\n
