Back then, he dismissed Bitcoin as a \u201cfraud,\u201d compared it to the tulip bubble, and predicted its collapse.<\/p>\n<p>Dimon even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2017-09-12\/jpmorgan-s-ceo-says-he-d-fire-traders-who-bet-on-fraud-bitcoin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">warned<\/a> that he would fire any JPMorgan employee found trading it, calling the act \u201cstupid\u201d and against firm policy.<\/p>\n<p>The latest statement comes after Dimon declared in a 2024 CNBC interview that he would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2024\/01\/17\/jamie-dimon-says-hes-done-talking-about-bitcoin-i-dont-care.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">no longer discuss Bitcoin<\/a> publicly. He also said during the interview that Bitcoin \u201chas no intrinsic value\u201d and is heavily used by criminals involved in sex trafficking, money laundering, and ransomware activities.<\/p>\n<p>On the blockchain, Dimon said it was overvalued.
