You need to help yourself\u2014this is a public health issue,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Bossu called for a multi-pronged approach involving public education, industry support, and legislation to phase out plastic use.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need laws to ban plastics, but this must be backed by industries that support the change.
