Mortal Kombat II<\/strong>
\nProducer Todd Garner has confirmed that the first trailer for the upcoming sequel to 2021\u2019s \u201cMortal Kombat\u201d film will hit in July \u2013 three months before the film opens on October 24th.<\/p>\n

The news follows on from writer Jeremy Slater (\u201cMoon Knight,\u201d \u201cGodzilla x Kong: The New Empire\u201d) telling ComicBook.com<\/a> the film has been done for a while now and has been test screening through the roof with fans \u201ccheering and jumping out of their seats\u201d. Nintendo Switch<\/a> 2<\/strong>
\nNintendo has announced that its Switch 2 console sold over 3.5 million units worldwide in the four days following its release on June 5th \u2013 the highest global sales level for any Nintendo hardware within the first four days of release.<\/p>\n

The officially touted figure matches an IGN report<\/a> earlier today out of the UK where third-party sales data confirms it was Nintendo\u2019s biggest UK console launch ever but still came in well under PlayStation and Xbox console sales. Sinners<\/strong>
\nOn the domestic front, Ryan Coogler\u2019s \u201cSinners\u201d has been a massive success \u2013 to the point it is heading to break another major record. The film has grossed $275 million domestically, and has now overtaken Alfonso Cuaron\u2019s \u201cGravity\u201d as the highest-grossing live-action original film at the domestic box-office in fifteen years \u2013 the biggest since Chris Nolan\u2019s \u201cInception\u201d pulled in $292 million in 2010. The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants<\/strong>
\nRegina Hall and rapper Ice Spice have joined the voice cast of \u201cThe SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants\u201d at Paramount Pictures. The pair will be joined by Mark Hamill, Sherry Cola, Arturo Castro and George Lopez in the film opening December 19th. \u2018SquarePants\u2019 will follow the anthropomorphic sponge to the deepest depths of the ocean, where he faces off against pirate ghost The Flying Dutchman.
