YouTuber Catherine Paiz Breaks Silence Over Ex Austin McBroom’s Alleged Cheating Scandal<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Catherine Paiz<\/strong><\/a> and <\/span>Austin McBroom<\/strong><\/a> were struggling in more than one aspect.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As the YouTubers\u2014who shared the ACE Family channel\u2014navigate life after filing for divorce<\/a> last January following seven years of marriage, Catherine shared that they hadn’t been sexually intimate <\/span>for years <\/span>towards the end of their relationship <\/span>due to <\/span>his infidelity<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“It was actually more like five years of not being intimate with him,” <\/span>Catherine <\/span>told <\/span>Alex Cooper<\/strong> on the May 28 episode of the <\/span>Call Her Daddy<\/span><\/em><\/a> podcast. Sex and intimacy are very, very sacred to me.\u00a0 hen I found out there was cheating, I checked out.\u00a0 \u00a0said, ‘My body is a temple and I refuse to allow anybody to come near my temple if he cannot be honest and truthful and loyal.'”<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 34-year-old<\/span>\u2014who shares kids <\/span>Elle<\/strong>, 9, <\/span>Alaia<\/strong>, 6, and <\/span>Steel<\/strong>, 4, with Austin\u2014noted that she had learned he had been cheating on her while she was three months pregnant with their youngest.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I was going through a lot postpartum,” she recalled.\u00a0 Your body changes, breastfeeding and you’re taking care of multiple children.”<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She added, “I found out he was cheating on me and that was it.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Catherine alleged that Austin, 33, didn’t pursue her sexually, either, which was how she said she knew “there was cheating going on.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Now, I know how that’s not normal,” she explained regarding their lack of intimacy. “At the time, I thought we were going through a lot. There were a lot of bad things happening around us. We have children, we’re overworking, we’re tired, we’re stressed. We’re anxious.”<\/span><\/p>\n

E! News has reached out to reps for Austin for comment and has not yet heard back.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Although Catherine <\/span>pointed to<\/span> Austin’s infidelity\u2014which he admitted to in his Snapchat Stories May 12\u2014<\/span>as the reason<\/span> for <\/span>their relationship’s<\/span> demise, she admitted that she didn’t handle challenges in their marriage well, either.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I’m a huge part of this problem,” she said. “I take full accountability for being in a relationship with someone and also not pursuing intimacy. Although I was disgusted and I didn’t want to be intimate, I didn’t have these very serious conversations like, ‘Hey, maybe we should go see a therapist, maybe we should do couples therapy.'”<\/span><\/p>\n

“This wasn’t normal, going another year without being physically intimate,” the influencer continued. “It is such an important part of a marriage and a relationship.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Austin claimed in his Snapchat posts that not only did Catherine know about his extramarital affairs, but she condoned his decision. However, she vehemently denied the accusation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“One thing he said that really just was a punch to the gut was, ‘Yes, I cheated and she was OK with it as long as I said you don’t embarrass me,'” she told Alex. “That is not true. I never ever said that. I would never say that. I would never want my kids to think that it’s OK to cheat on your husband or your wife.”<\/span><\/p>\n
