The layer 2 protocol will be powered by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fullycrypto.com\/ethereum-2-0-a-beginners-guide\"><span>Ethereum<\/span><\/a><span> scaling layer Arbitrum and will support \u201cseamless bridging and self-custody.\u201d Robinhood also announced an expansion of its product suite to include crypto perpetual futures and staking, indicating that the financial services company is venturing deeper into the crypto and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fullycrypto.com\/blockchain-news\"><span>blockchain<\/span><\/a><span> worlds.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span>Robinhood Layer 2 \u201cCurrently in Development\u201d<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>In a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.aboutrobinhood.com\/robinhood-launches-stock-tokens-reveals-layer-2-blockchain-and-expands-crypto-suite-in-eu-and-us-with-perpetual-futures-and-staking\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span>statement<\/span><\/a><span>, Robinhood said it\u2019ll initially issue tokenized stocks on Arbitrum and later transfer them to its \u201cvery own Robinhood layer 2 blockchain\u201d because it\u2019s \u201ccurrently in development.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to Johann Kerbrat, SVP of Robinhood, the financial services company is committed to bringing more people to crypto by abstracting the technical side, making it easy to use, and developing powerful and intuitive tools.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Apart from announcing a layer 2 network, Robinhood also revealed that it has expanded its product suite \u201cto make trading crypto [\u2026] even more powerful and seamless.\u201d The new products include instant boost on crypto deposits, crypto credit card rewards, Cortex for crypto, smart <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fullycrypto.com\/crypto-exchange-reviews\"><span>exchange<\/span><\/a><span> routing, tax lots, and advanced charts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Robinhood has also unveiled crypto staking to eligible U.S. customers.
