The Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul
\nAdefarasin, has broken his silence over a viral video falsely claiming he
\nbrandished a firearm, describing the incident as hurtful and maliciously driven
\nby \u201cclickbaiters just looking for money.\u201d<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Speaking during his sermon on Sunday, which was streamed
\nlive on the church\u2019s YouTube channel and monitored by Vanguard, Adefarasin said
\nhe was deeply shaken by the accusation and the reaction that followed.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

\u201cSeveral persons called me. I was shocked. I was hurt. I\u2019m
\nhuman,\u201d he said. \u201cWhat we have had to witness was clickbaiters just looking for
\nmoney. I probably wasn\u2019t even their target; their target was to make more<\/p>\n

money.\u201d<\/o:p><\/p>\n

He categorically denied owning or using a firearm: \u201cI was
\nfalsely accused of pointing a firearm at an aggressive content creator who came
\nwithin personal distance. I do not have a pistol license. I do not carry a
\nfirearm. And I pointed no firearm at anybody.\u201d<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Adefarasin explained that the alleged incident occurred on a
\nSaturday while he was observing the Sabbath. \u201cIt happened on Saturday when I
\nobserved Sabbath. I believe in the principle of Sabbath,\u201d he said.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

He further stated that his ministry would not lend weight to
\nmisinformation and online attacks. \u201cIt\u2019s our policy not to dignify hate speech
\nand false accusations. We believe God is bigger than that.\u201d<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Quoting scripture, he added: \u201cWe believe in what He said in
\nRomans 12:19 \u2014 \u2018Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.\u2019\u201d<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Reflecting on the emotional toll, Adefarasin said, \u201cGod is
\ntouched with the feelings of our infirmities, and He\u2019s able to first give us
\nsuccour. And what the enemy means for evil, He works it for good.\u201d<\/o:p><\/p>\n

He concluded, \u201cOn that note, I will lay that matter to
\nrest.\u201d<\/o:p><\/p>\n
