With the New Orleans Saints slated to start a young quarterback, it may offer a bigger obstacle for fans who want to draft from their favorite team but also compete for a championship.

That said, the Saints still have plenty of offensive talent that can make a difference for your team in 2025. All rankings and projections are based on PPR.

Alvin Kamara – RB2

2024 ranking – RB9
2025 projection – RB15

<picture data-cid="site/picture_element-1751112402_3385_29497" data-cdata="{"asset_id":26037525,"ratio":"*"}">

</picture>

        Photo by Cooper Neill/Getty Images

Alvin Kamara continues to be a value pick in the middle rounds year after year. In 2024, Kamara was projected to be RB15 on the board before finishing as the RB9 in a weak Saints offense.

Head coach Kellen Moore is coming off a successful year as the Philadelphia Eagles‘ offensive coordinator, helping superstar running back Saquon barely break 2,000 yards. It’s easy to imagine the Saints taking a heavy-run approach to their offense. With New Orleans choosing between a rookie and second-year quarterback, the former All-Pro will see plenty of attempts as a runner and receiver.

Chris Olave – WR3/Flex

2024 ranking – WR93
2025 projection – WR30

<picture data-cid="site/picture_element-1751112402_6241_29498" data-cdata="{"asset_id":26037528,"ratio":"*"}">

</picture>

        Photo by Gus Stark/Getty Images

From projections early on predicting the then third year wide out finishing in the top 10 to an injury-riddled season that caused Chris Olave to barely make the top 100, Olave had a disappointing year in 2024.

Coming off such a lackluster season, Olave could only go up from here. The two-time 1,000-yard receiver is the clear-cut WR1 on the Saints and will be the go-to target for whichever young quarterback is under center for New Orleans. While injuries continue to be a concern for Olave, an offseason bulk and a new offensive scheme hope to see a significant jump for the former first-round pick.

Rashid Shaheed – WR5/Flex2

2024 ranking – WR83
2025 projection – WR55

<picture data-cid="site/picture_element-1751112402_383_29499" data-cdata="{"asset_id":26037536,"ratio":"*"}">

</picture>

        Photo by Chris Graythen/Getty Images

Rashid Shaheed started the 2024 season hot, catching 20 passes for 349 yards and 3 touchdowns through six games. Disappointingly for Shaheed, his season would end early after suffering a knee injury during the team’s week six matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With the Saints’ offense moving to a run-heavy offense, play action will be the bulk of the team’s big plays. Shaheed has dominated as a deep threat on play action through the early years of his career and will likely get more looks with a new strong-armed quarterback and offense-focused head coach.

Juwan Johnson – TE2/3

2024 ranking – TE19
2025 projection – TE34

<picture data-cid="site/picture_element-1751112402_6243_29500" data-cdata="{"asset_id":26037989,"ratio":"*"}">

</picture>

        Photo by Cooper Neill/Getty Images

Juwan Johnson signed a three-year $30 million contract with the Saints early in the offseason. Johnson’s deal surprised many, with New Orleans showing a significant amount of commitment to the sixth-year tight end.

Head coach Kellen Moore has been noted to take advantage of tight ends in his offense since his time with the Dallas Cowboys. From Dalton Schultz to Dallas Goedert, tight ends have continued to have a strong presence in Moore’s offense. Juwan Johnson is coming off the best year of his career with 548 yards and 3 touchdowns. With the wide receiver-turned-tight end expected to have a pivotal role in the team’s new offense, He can be a waiver pickup after the draft.

Make sure you follow Canal Street Chronicles on Twitter at @SaintsCSC, “Like” us on Facebook at Canal Street Chronicles, and make sure you’re subscribed to our new YouTube channel

Read More Kyle Besson

Being a homer in fantasy football usually doesn’t lead to the best results.
