YouTuber Ms. Rachel Reveals Reason for Her Months-Long Absence<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hi friends, Ms. Rachel<\/strong><\/a> has some exciting news.<\/p>\n

The YouTuber\u2014whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso<\/strong>\u2014announced she and husband Aron Accurso <\/strong>have welcomed their second child<\/a>, a baby girl named Susannah<\/strong>, who joins big brother Thomas<\/strong>, 7.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes timing isn\u2019t what you plan and the road to get there is bumpier than you expect,\u201d Rachel wrote in the caption of her April 8 post<\/a>, \u201cbut when you hold your little ones you know\u2026 I\u2019m meant to be your mama.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the accompanying picture, Rachel holds Susannah close to her chest as she smiles down at the newborn, who is clad in a heart onesie.<\/p>\n

The beloved children\u2019s creator shared she and Aron welcomed Susannah though a surrogate<\/a>, as she was \u201cunable to carry this pregnancy for medical reasons,\u201d noting the surrogate gave the family \u201cthe most precious gift possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are now all family forever,\u201d the 42-year-old continued. \u201cWe have immense gratitude and a deep bond. It\u2019s been a truly beautiful experience. I\u2019m in awe of her.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Rachel also made sure to share a sweet shoutout to her husband, who she thanked for being \u201cthe best husband and dada!\u201d<\/p>\n

The family\u2019s announcement comes amid Rachel\u2019s prolonged absence from YouTube<\/a>, though Susannah\u2019s arrival might help fill in some of the blanks. After all, on March 19 Rachel responded to a fan asking about her absence with, \u201cWe\u2019ve had some family things to attend to.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Susannah\u2019s arrival also coincides with an exciting new endeavor for the kids educator, whose content is so beloved\u2014by kids and adults alike\u2014that it earned her a new partnership with Netflix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The four-episode season debuted in January, with the streaming giant noting the series would bring to life the best of Ms. Rachel, culminating as \u201ca curated compilation of her playful, research-backed videos for every stage of a child\u2019s development, from early language skills to phonics and learning to read.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
