Photo by IMAGO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Echegini sends WAFCON warning as Nigeria eye record-extending 10th title<\/h3>\n<p>The Super Falcons are nine-time champions of Africa but haven\u2019t lifted the trophy since 2018.<\/p>\n<p>With South Africa breaking Nigeria\u2019s dominance in 2023, the pressure is back on for the reigning queens of African football to prove their mettle.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe live with it,\u201d Echegini said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pressure has always been there. When you wear the Nigerian jersey, you know the expectations are sky-high. But that\u2019s a good thing, really. It\u2019s those standards that shape who we are.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNigeria has won this competition multiple times. As the new generation, it\u2019s our duty to carry on that tradition. So yes, there\u2019s pressure. She also featured twice in the UEFA Women\u2019s Champions League.<\/p>\n<p>With 11 caps and two goals for Nigeria, her role within the national team continues to grow.
