{"id":853857,"date":"2025-06-06T22:12:51","date_gmt":"2025-06-07T03:12:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/06\/18-year-old-suspected-cultist-hacks-businessman-to-d3ath-in-ondo\/"},"modified":"2025-06-06T22:12:51","modified_gmt":"2025-06-07T03:12:51","slug":"18-year-old-suspected-cultist-hacks-businessman-to-d3ath-in-ondo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/06\/18-year-old-suspected-cultist-hacks-businessman-to-d3ath-in-ondo\/","title":{"rendered":"18-year-old Suspected Cultist Hacks Businessman To D3ath In Ondo"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>An 18-year-old suspected cultist, Suleiman Ahmed Dantata, has been arrested by the\u00a0Ondo State Police command for the m8rder of a man, Raimi Ibrahim.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe incident happened on March 28, 2025, at about 8:30pm at Elegbeka community via Ipele, Owo, Ose Local Government area of Ondo State.<\/p>\n<p>\nDantata, along with a 23-year-old accomplice, Ohi Usman, was accused of macheting the deceased to d3ath. <\/p>\n<p>\nIt was learnt that Usman helped the suspect track the movements of the deceased on the tragic day. <\/p>\n<p>\nAccording to the deceased\u2019s brother, Dantata had arrived at the deceased mother\u2019s shop immediately after the breaking of the Ramadan. <\/p>\n<p>\nOn sighting his target, he inflicted severe machete cuts on his neck, and ran away. <\/p>\n<p>\nThe source further stated that the suspects had\u00a0 attempted to k!ll the deceased\u2019s father but\u00a0 when his attempt to k!ll the man failed, he went after the deceased and hacked him to death.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe community youths, sympathetic to Ibrahim\u2019s family, went on a rampage upon hearing the news of his death and ran after him and he was arrested.<\/p>\n<p>\nUpon his arrest, the police subsequently arraigned the suspects before a Chief Magistrates\u2019 Court sitting at Oke Eda, Akure for alleged conspiracy and murder. <\/p>\n<p>\nThe prosecutor, Josephine Awana, told the court that the defendant and his accomplice inflicted a machete cut on Ibrahim&#8217;s neck, which led to his death.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe charge read: \u201c<em>That you, Dantata Suleiman Ahmed \u2018m\u2019 and on 28\/3\/2025, 8.30pm, at Elegbeka community via Ipele, Owo, in Magisterial District, conspired to commit felony to wit, m8rder and thereby committed an offense contrary to and punishable under Section 324 of the Criminal Code, Law of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.\u201d <br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u201cThat you, Dantata Suleiman Ahmed in the aforementioned Magisterial District did unlawfully macheted the neck of Raimi Ibrahim \u2018m\u2019 with a cutlass which resulted in his d3ath and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 316 and punishable under section 516 Vol.1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p>\nThe Chief Magistrate, Olateju Odenusi-Fadeyi, who did not take the defendants&#8217; pleas, ordered that they should be remanded in Olokuta Correctional facility and adjourned the case to May 14, for ruling.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p> Margherita Center <br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tori.ng\/news\/300095\/18yearold-suspected-cultist-hacks-businessman-to-d.html\" class=\"button purchase\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Read More<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An 18-year-old suspected cultist, Suleiman Ahmed Dantata, has been arrested by the\u00a0Ondo State Police command for the m8rder of a man, Raimi Ibrahim.
