The fashion house will give its customers with pending orders or unredeemed NFTs three months to receive their items and to redeem their collectibles for physical apparel. The move comes a few months after 9dcc sold out a collection on OpenSea, indicating that collectors are yet to embrace NFT-linked physical items.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span>Merging the Digital and Physical Worlds<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>According to the fashion house\u2019s pseudonymous founder, Gmoney, 9dcc has \u201cbeen on a journey to merge the digital and physical worlds,\u201d adding that the firm explored the intersection between technology and fashion.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">It\u2019s with a really heavy heart that I\u2019m announcing the wind down of 9dcc, effective at the end of the month. According to Gmoney, the end of the benefits aligns with \u201cthe original membership commitment\u201d made three years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span>Blockchain Verification and Ownership Have a Future<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>Gmoney, however, said he still believes in a future where verification and ownership will be done on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fullycrypto.com\/blockchain-news\"><span>blockchain<\/span><\/a><span>, a future he said 9dcc may have been \u201ca little early\u201d to explore. 9dcc\u2019s sunsetting comes at a time when other crypto, web3, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fullycrypto.com\/nft-platform-recur-announces-shutdown\"><span>NFT platforms<\/span><\/a><span> are shutting down due to decreased revenues and usage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Crypto exchange Bybit is among the latest firms to shutter <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fullycrypto.com\/bybit-to-shutter-multiple-web3-products\"><span>multiple web3 products<\/span><\/a><span> to reduce its product line and optimize its offerings.
