Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, OFR, CON, on Monday 17th February, 2025. The family appreciates your prayers at this time. Other details will be announced later by the family,\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here are 16 things you probably don\u2019t know about the late Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/2020\/12\/17\/people-dont-appreciate-what-niger-delta-does-for-nigeria-says-edwin-clark\/\">Edwin Clark<\/a> was born on 25th of May, 1927.<\/li>\n<li>He is a Nigerian statesman, Ijaw leader and politician from\u00a0Delta State.<\/li>\n<li>He was born in Kiagbodo, in the\u00a0Ijaw\u00a0area of what is now Delta State.<\/li>\n<li>He attended primary and secondary schools at\u00a0Effurun, Okrika and Afugbene before completing further studies at the Government Teacher Training College, which later became\u00a0Delta State University, Abraka.<\/li>\n<li>He worked briefly as a school teacher before traveling abroad to earn a law degree.<\/li>\n<li>He was an elder brother to the Nigerian poet\u00a0J. P.
