A woman has filed a lawsuit against the Linq Hotel, Caesars Entertainment<\/strong>, and other Las Vegas Strip<\/strong> restaurants and hotels, claiming she was \u201cviolently\u201d assaulted and subsequently ignored by security staff.<\/p>\n Nevada resident Malissa Danielle Miles<\/strong> is suing several parties for negligence, including Caesars Entertainment, Caesars Linq, The Linq Hotel,<\/strong> Off The Strip Bistro & Bar<\/strong>, and its co-owner and operator, Andrew Belmonti<\/strong>. According to her, she was \u201cbattered\u201d and \u201cbloodied\u201d inside the restaurant following a violent assault by two unknown women. She claims the incident resulted in a medical emergency that was disregarded by security personnel.<\/p>\n The alleged assault happened on June 8, 2023<\/strong>, near the bathroom at Off The Strip. The lawsuit states that during the assault, Miles was hit in the face and violently thrown against a nearby wall. It further alleges that she was left \u201cvisibly bloodied and disoriented,\u201d suffering serious and lasting injuries, including a traumatic brain injury.<\/p>\n According to Miles\u2019 case, she was seen following the attack but allegedly disregarded by security personnel who were \u201cuntrained and ill-equipped,\u201d according to the lawsuit. The case argues that instead of calling emergency medical services or securing the area to prevent additional harm, the hotel\u2019s staff allegedly allowed the plaintiff, who was visibly experiencing cognitive impairment and trauma, to roam the casino premises in a disoriented and unsupported condition.<\/p>\n Miles is seeking general damages exceeding $15,000<\/strong>, special damages to be determined at trial, interest at the statutory rate, reasonable attorney\u2019s fees and court costs, along with any other relief the court considers fair and appropriate.<\/p>\n As mentioned before, Caesars Entertainment was also mentioned in the case. One might wonder why the company is being sued despite not owning The Linq Hotel, near where the alleged incident happened. That\u2019s because Caesars owned the property at the time the assault is claimed to have happened.
