Both the SEC and Ripple had sought the court\u2019s guidance on whether the July 2023 summary judgment ruling could be reconsidered.<\/p>\n<p>The parties wanted the court to consider the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/coinpedia.org\/news\/sec-vs-coinbase-crypto-exchange-under-investigation-for-allegedly-misstating-user-data\/\">Coinbase<\/a> ruling, which clarified the application of the Howey test in regard to XRP sales.
