Springbok captain Siya Kolis\u2019s GQ <\/em>cover has been critiqued by South Africans, weeks after his ex, Rachel Kolisi, donned the front pages of Women\u2019s Health.<\/em><\/p>\n

The popular player split from his wife \u2013 the mother of his child \u2013 six months ago.<\/p>\n

Since then, South Africa\u2019s former golden couple has been transitioning to a new single status.<\/a><\/p>\n

RACHEL AND SIYA KOLISI\u2019S MAGAZINE COVERS COMPARED\u00a0<\/h2>\n

This week, Siya Kolisi\u2019s GQ <\/em>cover was revealed to South Africans. In the cover image, the Springbok captain donned a suit and a solemn attitude.<\/p>\n

The headline read: \u201cSiya Kolisi: Grounded. Focused. Human\u201d.<\/p>\n

The rugby player\u2019s headline feature comes just a few weeks after his ex, Rachel Kolisi, donned the cover of Women\u2019s Health<\/em>. But unlike a beaming Rachel, Siya appeared more serious.<\/p>\n

TikTok influencer Sibongile Mafu was the first to critique both Siya and Rachel\u2019s magazine features, which she hailed as \u201cgood PR.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said: \u2018These covers are a big part of announcing the next chapter for each of them\u2026It\u2019s been interesting to see how both of them have had very different strategies and how they approach their brands.<\/p>\n

\u201cSiya Kolisi is navigating life as a single father, with a lot of rugby and behind-the-scenes content. This cover really leans into that \u2013 what is next for Siya, post Rachel?\u201d<\/p>\n

Regarding Rachel\u2019s rebranding, Sibongile said, \u201cWe see her going on solo vacations, taking us along to work in a day. Before, it was a lot of wifey and motherhood content.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the comments section, TikTokers also compared Rachel and Siya Kolisi\u2019s magazine covers as single individuals.<\/p>\n

While many commented that Rachel was embracing her newfound freedom, others believed that Siya was struggling.<\/p>\n
