This is getting whacked on a whole different level.\u00a0<\/p>\n

John Alite, a former Gambino crime family enforcer-turned-mob turncoat now serving as a councilman in the sleepy New Jersey borough of Englishtown, was heckled during his first town hall meeting by a former underling of John Gotti Jr.<\/p>\n

However, Alite didn\u2019t have to lay a finger on his critic \u2014 39-year-old Christopher George of Huntington, LI \u2014 as dozens of townspeople shouted him down.<\/p>\n

George stepped up to a microphone and confirmed he once worked for \u201cJunior\u201d Gotti, Alite\u2019s ex-best friend and the son of late Gambino godfather John Gotti Sr. on various media projects \u2014 including some critical of Alite, who testified against Junior in a 2008 federal racketeering trial that ended in a hung jury.<\/p>\n

George asked Englishtown Mayor Daniel Francisco if he was \u201caware\u201d of the newly appointed councilman\u2019s \u201ccriminal activities\u201d \u2014 only to be drowned out by the angry mob.<\/p>\n

\u201cStop harassing this guy! He did what he had to do. He did his time. That\u2019s it! Go! You don\u2019t belong here!\u201d one resident shouted.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo me a favor! Step the f\u2013k out of here!\u201d raged another man gesturing toward the door. \u201cWho the f\u2013k is this dude?\u201d<\/p>\n

Another told George if residents are unhappy with Alite\u2019s March appointment they\u2019ll have a chance to vote him out of office later this year, adding \u201cI don\u2019t need to listen to you badger somebody at this meeting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Others shouted in unison, \u201cGo! Go! Go!\u201d and demanded cops escort George out before he exited Borough Hall on his own.<\/p>\n

George promotes himself online as a writer, director and \u201cinvestigative journalist\u201d called \u201cChris Kasparoza.\u201d He has websites devoted to Gotti Sr., Alite and other past and present mobsters.<\/p>\n

Alite \u2014 who reinvented himself as a motivational speaker since becoming a free man in 2012 \u2014 said George has been \u201charassing\u201d him for years.<\/p>\n

The Queens-born goodfella claimed George has popped up at the homes and businesses of family members to confront him \u2014 as well as at speaking events he appears at where he tackles topics like domestic violence and the nation\u2019s drug epidemic.<\/p>\n

Alite claimed to the crowd that George was \u201chired by guys from my ex life, and had his own fallout with the Gottis himself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t have to explain!\u201d replied an supporter. <\/p>\n

\u201cI just want you guys to know I appreciate what you did, but this is part of my old life that they don\u2019t want me to change,\u201d Alite told the crowd. \u201cThey want me to lose my temper. I won\u2019t do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alite doubled down on his remarks, telling The Post Thursday he\u2019s been \u201cliterally harassed nonstop\u201d by \u201cKasparoza.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s obsessed,\u201d insisted Alite.<\/p>\n

Alite spent 14 years in prison on convictions that include six murders, at least 37 shootings and countless beatdowns while working as a Gambino henchman.<\/p>\n

The President Trump-loving Republican was appointed to fill a vacancy through the end of the year after being recruited by Francisco and other local leaders impressed by his civic work helping youths.<\/p>\n

George insisted to The Post Friday he wasn\u2019t \u201csent\u201d to the meeting by anyone and only went to ask Alite and other Englishtown officials questions for a new book and documentary project he\u2019s working on. He also denied harassing Alite or his family.<\/p>\n

George said he previously worked with Junior Gotti on \u201cinvestigative journalism projects regarding career criminals turned government cooperators\u201d they believe are still lawbreakers, including a website dedicated to Alite. The two parted ways professionally in 2022 over disagreements they had about a documentary both were partnering on about Alite, George said.<\/p>\n

George also said he wasn\u2019t fazed by Englishtown residents\u2019 spirited defense of Alite at the meeting.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had numerous friends in the crowd that night, and I\u2019m sure some of them are good people,\u201d said George. \u201cBut like many of his other unwitting victims, I believe at a certain point they\u2019ll realize who John Alite really is and that his only friend is himself.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
