Meghan Markle is still using her royal title \u2013 despite the late Queen warning her against it.<\/p>\n

The title \u2018HRH, The Duchess of Sussex\u2019 was spotted on a card she sent her friend Jamie Kern Lima inside a gift basket.<\/p>\n

After leaving the British Royal Family in 2020, Harry and Meghan agreed to refrain from using their HRH titles for any commercial purposes.<\/p>\n

The gift basket was sent to Meghan\u2019s friend, CEO of IT Cosmetics Jamie, when she had in-laws staying and the Duchess wanted to help out.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Duchess\u2019 homemade strawberry jam was showcased in a hamper that was shared on Jamie\u2019s podcast over the weekend, leading to its circulation online.<\/p>\n

The basket also includes two jars of Straus organic ice cream, some flowers, mint, and the note with Meghan\u2019s royal title embellished on it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

By extension, Meghan\u2019s As Ever lifestyle range is being plugged by the post, while also promoting her new podcast episode with Jamie.<\/p>\n

Royal fans have reacted furiously to the name on the card this evening, with one writing on X: \u2018I thought they couldn\u2019t use HRH?\u2019<\/p>\n

The gift basket was sent to Meghan\u2019s friend, CEO of IT Cosmetics Jamie Kern Lima, when she had in-laws staying and the Duchess wanted to help out<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Meghan has been known to indirectly criticize the Royal Family, with her latest remark on a podcast episode suggesting that her and Harry faced challenges when they initially began dating.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Another said: \u2018She\u2019s not to [use] it per the Queen!\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior royals in January 2020 and embarked on a new life together in California.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a statement at the time Buckingham Palace said: \u2018The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family.\u2019<\/p>\n

HRH, an abbreviation of His\/Her Royal Highness, is used as part of the title of some members of the royal family.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since their exit, Meghan has often appeared to make thinly veiled swipes at the Royal Family, most recently claiming in a new podcast episode that her and Harry were \u2018in the trenches\u2019 when they first started dating.<\/p>\n

In her first ever podcast interview, Meghan opened up to Jamie about her family life in Montecito with Harry and their children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.<\/p>\n

Meghan revealed she was sending the youngsters an email every day to create a \u2018time capsule\u2019 they could revisit when they are older.<\/p>\n

The mother-of-two became emotional as she read out a letter from them which read: \u2018From Archie and Lili via Papa. We love your cooking. We love your pancakes and we love, love, love your hugs. You\u2019re the best mummy and we love you.\u2019<\/p>\n

Referring to the note, Meghan said: \u2018So sweet. I also love that it\u2019s mummy, instead of mommy, which is very British.\u2019<\/p>\n

Blinking back tears, she added: \u2018I wasn\u2019t expecting this, they\u2019re just so great. This is why it\u2019s so nice to have no make up on, thank you.\u2019<\/p>\n

During the podcast, released on Sunday, the Duchess also spoke of her relationship with Harry, saying she was more in love than she\u2019s ever been before making a seemingly pointed remark that some have interpreted as a swipe at the royals.<\/p>\n

\u2018You have to imagine, at the beginning it\u2019s all butterflies \u2013 but then we immediately went into the trenches together,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n

\u2018Right out of the gate, like six months into dating. So now seven years later, when you have a little bit of breathing space, you can just enjoy each other in a new way. And that\u2019s why I feel like it\u2019s more of a honeymoon period for us now.\u2019<\/p>\n
