The Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker, has stated that the Society for Family Health, SFH, technical assistance and capacity-building initiatives have significantly improved the state\u2019s family planning data collection and analysis.<\/p>\n

Coker made this statement on Thursday while receiving the data tools on behalf of the state government.<\/p>\n

She noted that the collaborative efforts had enabled the government to make informed decisions and implement evidence-based family planning programmes.<\/p>\n

Dr Coker explained that with the new data tools in place, the state government was poised to make significant strides in improving family planning services, ultimately contributing to better health outcomes for its citizens. She added that the tools would enhance the state\u2019s ability to collect, analyse, and utilise data to inform family planning policies and programmes.<\/p>\n

In response, the SFH team lead, Mrs Omolara Adeyemo, commended the state government\u2019s efforts in creating a healthier environment for its citizens. She emphasised the importance of accurate data collection and management in delivering quality family planning services.<\/p>\n

She further highlighted that SFH had been working closely with the state government to improve Sexual and Reproductive Health outcomes. She noted that SFH had collaborated with the state to train 400 family planning service providers, renovate 200 health facilities, and conduct training on data quality for Monitoring and Evaluation Officers. Additionally, 60 generation agents had been deployed to raise awareness and conduct community outreach.<\/p>\n

The data support tools provided include Family Planning Client Cards, Daily Consumption Registers, Stock Cards, Family Planning Registers, Monthly Summary Forms, and Requisition, Issue, and Report Forms for Service Delivery Point.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
