{"id":845365,"date":"2025-05-02T21:12:33","date_gmt":"2025-05-03T02:12:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/05\/02\/interior-minister-assures-private-sector-of-ongoing-business-reforms-in-nigeria\/"},"modified":"2025-05-02T21:12:33","modified_gmt":"2025-05-03T02:12:33","slug":"interior-minister-assures-private-sector-of-ongoing-business-reforms-in-nigeria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/05\/02\/interior-minister-assures-private-sector-of-ongoing-business-reforms-in-nigeria\/","title":{"rendered":"Interior minister assures private sector of ongoing business reforms in Nigeria"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has reaffirmed the federal government\u2019s commitment to implementing continuous reforms to improve business operations in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Tunji-Ojo made this assurance while addressing journalists on Tuesday in Lagos after a closed-door interactive session with representatives from the Nigeria Employers\u2019 Consultative Association (NECA) and other stakeholders from the private sector.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasised the private sector\u2019s vital role in economic development and reiterated the ministry\u2019s determination to foster an environment conducive to business growth.<\/p>\n<p>The minister noted that the interactive session provided an opportunity for the government and private sector leaders to engage on key policy issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was a family meeting because the private sector is a strategic partner to the Ministry of Interior,\u201d he said. \u201cWe understand the critical role they play in the socio-economic development of our country.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Key reforms area<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Mr Tunji-Ojo highlighted ongoing reforms in several key areas, including the expatriate quota system, business permits, and border control.<\/p>\n<div>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/iLBQ9yxE99HTbYjh8\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/media.premiumtimesng.com\/wp-content\/files\/2025\/04\/New.jpg?resize=1600%2C400&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Audience Feedback Survey\" width=\"1600\" height=\"400\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<p>He said: \u201cReforms have to continue and it is a work in progress. I want to commend the current government for opening up the channels of engagement.
