You tied the school record with 60 consecutive games played \u2014 what does that durability say about you as a player?<\/strong><\/p>\nI think it speaks to my toughness, my durability, and my willingness to do everything for the team. I take a lot of pride in being available and putting everything on the line for my guys every week.<\/p>\n
You\u2019ve started at right guard, right tackle, left guard, and even played tight end. What does that versatility mean to you?<\/strong><\/p>\nIt\u2019s definitely rare \u2014 not many people can say they\u2019ve done that. I think it shows my football IQ and understanding of the playbook and scheme. More than anything, it shows I\u2019ll do whatever is best for the team.<\/p>\n
In 2024, Boston College put up several 200+ and 300+ yard rushing games. What fueled that success up front?<\/strong><\/p>\nIt was everyone \u2014 running backs, tight ends, quarterbacks, the whole unit. We worked hard and stayed close. But major credit goes to our coaches. They put together amazing schemes week in and week out, and really put us in great positions to succeed.<\/p>\n
What moment from your career best represents who you are as a player?<\/strong><\/p>\nWhen I was told I wouldn\u2019t be starting last year. Of course, I was disappointed, but I focused on being the best teammate I could be. I embraced a big role at tight end and did whatever was asked. That\u2019s who I am.<\/p>\n
How do you prepare throughout the week during game prep?<\/strong><\/p>\nAt first, it was overwhelming, but I grew into it. I break the week into themes \u2014 Monday is for opponent tendencies and scheme. Tuesday is run game prep. Wednesday is third down packages. Thursday is about blending our scheme with their film and watching for weaknesses. Friday is all personnel \u2014 I write up notes on who I\u2019ll be facing.<\/p>\n
You\u2019ve played in both pass-heavy and run-heavy offenses. How did you adjust your game based on the scheme?<\/strong><\/p>\nIt\u2019s about understanding what defenses are going to do. In pass-heavy looks, we\u2019d see lighter boxes and more pressure. Run-heavy? We\u2019d see stacked boxes and stunts. You\u2019ve got to adapt your approach based on that.<\/p>\n
When you line up across from a top defensive lineman, what\u2019s your mindset?<\/strong><\/p>\nFirst, I think about the play. Then I look at what the defense is showing and what that means. I go back to my notes and think about the matchup \u2014 stance, alignment, tendencies. Then I trust my training and go.<\/p>\n
How would you describe your leadership style?<\/strong><\/p>\nA mix of vocal and leading by example. I think the best way to lead is through your actions. I never missed time. People saw that \u2014 the best ability is availability.<\/p>\n
If a scout pulled up your tape, what stretch would you want them to watch and why?<\/strong><\/p>\nThis past season as a whole. I think it shows my consistency, toughness, and adaptability \u2014 all the things I pride myself on.<\/p>\n
How do you stay calm and locked in during big moments or high-pressure games?<\/strong><\/p>\nYou fall back on your training. You\u2019ve prepped all year for these moments, and when they come, you\u2019re ready. There\u2019s actually a weird calm I feel once we\u2019re out there.<\/p>\n
You once recorded a tackle and forced a fumble on a key drive. How important is effort to your game?<\/strong><\/p>\nEffort is everything. You can\u2019t take a play off \u2014 anything can happen. At BC, we prided ourselves on relentless effort every single snap.<\/p>\n
What part of your game is underrated?<\/strong><\/p>\nI\u2019d say my play speed. It\u2019s tough to see on tape as a lineman since things happen so fast, but my quickness off the ball and mental speed are big strengths of mine.<\/p>\n
Who\u2019s had the biggest impact on your development as an offensive lineman?<\/strong><\/p>\nCoach Applebaum. He\u2019s incredible at developing young guys who aren\u2019t quite ready. He made me who I am today, and I\u2019m forever grateful for that.<\/p>\n
How do you stay grounded off the field?<\/strong><\/p>\nSpending time with friends and my girlfriend. The O-line room at BC is super close \u2014 we hang out a lot. And my girlfriend\u2019s been in Boston the last four years, so we\u2019ve been able to spend time together when we can.<\/p>\n
What message would you send to NFL teams about why they should bring you in?<\/strong><\/p>\nI\u2019ll do anything you ask \u2014 no hesitation. I\u2019m willing to help the team in any way possible. You\u2019ll get everything out of me, every single day.<\/p>\n
