Abhishek Kambli Biography \u2013 Abhishek Kambli Wiki<\/h2>\n

Abhishek Kambli is an Indian-American attorney, who is currently the Deputy Associate Attorney General at U.S. Department of Justice<\/a> in Washington, D.C., United States. He took over his role at the Department of Justice in February 2025.<\/p>\n

He previously served as the Deputy Attorney General (division chief) at the Kansas Attorney General\u2019s Office where he led the Special Litigation and Constitutional Issues division from October 2023 to January 2025.<\/p>\n

Before serving the state of Kansas, Kambli was an assistant United States attorney prosecuting federal crimes within the Southern District of Indiana in federal court through all phases of litigation. He also served as a JAG officer in the United States Air Force where he still serves in the Reserves. He holds a juris doctorate from Notre Dame Law School and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.<\/p>\n

In a LinkedIn post<\/a> in February 2025, announcing his resignation from the state of Kansas, Kambli wrote: \u201cThis past Friday was bittersweet as it was my last day at the Kansas Attorney General\u2019s Office. When I first took the job and moved my family to Kansas, I was excited about the opportunity but didn\u2019t truly know how it would all turn out. 15 months later, I\u2019m very proud of all that we\u2019ve accomplished and have no doubt that our work made a positive impact in the state of Kansas and the country as a whole.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to Attorney General Kobach and the leadership team at the office for trusting me with the task of standing up this new division. And thank you to the attorneys on my team, Erin Gaide and Jay Rodriguez. Whatever we lacked in resources we more than made up for in creativity and pure determination. And there\u2019s no one else I\u2019d rather have on my team for this adventure.<\/p>\n

\u201cLeading the Special Litigation Division was the best job I ever had and I wish I had more time to build upon all the work we had done. But there was another opportunity that came up that was also a calling I had to answer. I\u2019ll provide an update on that.\u201d<\/p>\n

He later announced<\/a> starting a new position as Deputy Associate Attorney General at U.S. Department of Justice.<\/p>\n
