wife Emma Heming Willis opened up to her Instagram followers about a recent bout of illness as well as the call for aid she received regarding a family grappling with young-onset Alzheimer&#8217;s. &#8220;So I&#8217;m sick I have a cold. I want my mommy,&#8221; Emma began her Instagram video before diving into the heart of the matter. A well-regarded doctor had reached out informing her about a family facing Alzheimer&#8217;s with three children in need of support.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I received a call from a very prominent doctor the other day letting me know that he has a family who&#8217;s just been diagnosed with young-onset Alzheimer&#8217;s and they have three children&#8230;and that he needs all of my resources and contacts,&#8221; she shared during her heartfelt post.<\/p>\n<p>Though initially taken aback Emma soon realised she could lend a significant hand. &#8220;I have the contacts and nothing makes me happier than to be able to be of service and to support the next caregiver which I happily passed on,&#8221; she explained to her followers, reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.themirror.com\/entertainment\/celebrity-news\/bruce-willis-wife-issues-heartbreaking-1031975\" target=\"_self\" aria-label tabindex=\"0\">the Mirror US<\/a>. <em>For the latest TV and showbiz gossip <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/newsletter-preference-centre\/?view=Solus&#038;mailingListId=73dc4ba7-03fe-43fb-8152-46228482c5b9&#038;utm_source=solusarticle\" target aria-label tabindex=\"0\"><em>sign up to our newsletter<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Emma, while eager to help the particular family in question, spoke candidly about what she sees as a significant gap in healthcare support systems. &#8220;The thing that just boggles my mind is how do our doctors not already have a Rolodex of ways to support caregivers,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>In her passionate message Emma spoke about her eagerness to delve deeper into assisting caregivers, which is a cause close to her heart. &#8220;So that is something I can&#8217;t wait to dig in to&#8230;it&#8217;s just is so upsetting to me when I receive messages from families that have just been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia or some type of dementia and they&#8217;re asking me for my resources,&#8221; Emma continued on Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>She concluded by acknowledging the challenges of supporting those reaching out for help with Alzheimer&#8217;s and dementia resources. &#8220;I&#8217;m not even in the same state as them, same city,&#8221; Emma said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Doctors really need to have a roadmap of just some support,&#8221; Emma added. &#8220;Which is exactly why I wrote my book because I was handed a pamphlet.
