{"id":839141,"date":"2025-04-05T08:11:47","date_gmt":"2025-04-05T13:11:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/04\/05\/administrators-exploring-all-options-for-essex-based-contractor\/"},"modified":"2025-04-05T08:11:47","modified_gmt":"2025-04-05T13:11:47","slug":"administrators-exploring-all-options-for-essex-based-contractor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/04\/05\/administrators-exploring-all-options-for-essex-based-contractor\/","title":{"rendered":"Administrators exploring \u2018all options\u2019 for Essex-based contractor"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"wrapper_sleeve\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"414\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ca.emap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2023\/08\/administration_shutterstock_100337303.jpg\"   alt=\"administration_shutterstock_100337303.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Administrators have confirmed they have been appointed to run the affairs of Breyer Group and are exploring a possible sale of parts of the business among the options for the 69 year-old company.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Essex-based firm, which specialises in roofing, repair, and refurbishment services, officially appointed Glen Carter and Damian Webb of RSM UK Restructuring Advisory as administrators on Wednesday (1 April).<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Breyer has been hit by a \u201cnumber of financial difficulties and cash flow constraints as a result of certain contracts\u201d, a statement issued by RSM UK said.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This led to \u201csignificant pressure from creditors\u201d, the administrators said.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>RSM is \u201cexploring all options, including a potential sale of certain parts of the business\u201d, it added.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Romford-based Breyer operates across the South and South-East of England and its clients include councils, housing associations and major landlords. <span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The group has seen a number of significant departures of late, including the exit of its managing director Daren Moseley at the end of 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The group&#8217;s finance director, Jessica McCarthy, also left last year after less than six months in the role.<\/p>\n<p>In its last filed accounts at Companies House, covering the year to the end of May 2023, Breyer reported a pre-tax profit of<span>\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a3637,084 on turnover of nearly \u00a383m.
