While BTC is down 6% over the past day, nearing US$80k (AU$126.5k), Ethereum (<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptonews.com.au\/category\/ethereum\/\">ETH<\/a>), Solana (<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptonews.com.au\/category\/Solana\/\">SOL<\/a>) and<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptonews.com.au\/category\/xrp\/\"> XRP<\/a> all lost around 8%.<\/p>\n<p>However, the biggest losses of the top dogs have been incurred by Dogecoin (<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptonews.com.au\/category\/dogecoin\/\">DOGE<\/a>) and Cardano (<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptonews.com.au\/category\/cardano\/\">ADA<\/a>), which are both down 12%.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-did-trump-just-deliver-a-bear-market\">Did Trump Just Deliver a Bear Market?<\/h2>\n<p>Seasoned investors would have seen this all before, so is this a good dip-buying opportunity?<\/p>\n<p>According to 10X Research, much of the price chaos is due to recent buyers panicking.<\/p>\n<div id=\"blockquote-block_c71d1d303025bbb9f515bfb26ea310ad\">\n<p>With Bitcoin dipping below $80,000, approximately 70% of all selling came from investors who bought within the last three months, highlighting the dominance of recent entrants panic-selling into the decline.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-eio=\"l\" data-old-src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.cryptonews.com.au\/2024\/06\/27132655\/10xresearch.jpg\">        10X Research    <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>As per Swissblock analysts, the market is still extremely uncertain what 2025 will shape out to be. And Trump starting a global trade war certainly hasn\u2019t helped calm investor\u2019s nerves.<\/p>\n<div id=\"blockquote-block_4a89c59df82a9826e70c50968f0f7dad\">\n<p>The looming threat of U.S. tariff implementation is the Sword of Damocles that Trump is swinging over the global economy.
