The launch date is being kept under wraps for now.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the initiative, WLFI has partnered with BitGo, a heavyweight in digital asset custody, to provide custodial and prime brokerage services for USD1. The reserves will be regularly audited by a third-party accounting firm.<\/p>\n<p>Discussing the plan, Mike Belshe, BitGo\u2019s CEO, said that the launch of WLFI\u2019s USD1 stablecoin would represent a major step forward in making digital assets more appealing and usable for large, traditional financial institutions.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cOur clients demand both security and efficiency, and this partnership with WLFI delivers both \u2013 combining deep liquidity with the assurance that reserves are securely held and managed within regulated, qualified custody,\u201d Belshe said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>Initial tests and other key products<\/h2>\n<p>The announcement comes after WLFI made a number of test transactions for its USD1 stablecoin on the BNB Chain, Crypto Briefing <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptobriefing.com\/trump-backed-usd1-stablecoin-launch\/\" rel=\"\">reported<\/a> Monday. Wintermute also performed cross-chain tests between Ethereum and the BNB Chain.<\/p>\n<p><html><body><\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-banner mrec-in-article\"><\/div>\n<p><\/body><\/html><\/p>\n<p>The stablecoin deployment follows WLFI\u2019s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptobriefing.com\/trump-backed-token-sale-completion\/\" rel=\"\">completion of $550 million<\/a> in two sets of token sales, which is expected to pave the way for future developments.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIn terms of what we\u2019re building, I would say that we have three main products that we\u2019re actually building and developing. Two of which are already done and ready to ship,\u201d said Folkman in a recent <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/Spu5qHzl_Ho?si=ODTxSCYOY7imOo0R\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">discussion<\/a> with Chainlink\u2019s co-founder Sergey Nazarov.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Folkman revealed that two of the products include a lend-and-borrow market powered by smart contracts and a protocol focused on real-world assets (RWAs).<\/p>\n<p>Unlike traditional DeFi lending platforms that rely on DAOs, World Liberty Financial will manage its lending market through its own governance process.
