\n\tWhether it\u2019s \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy<\/a>,\u201d \u201cJurassic World\u201d or \u201cThe Electric State<\/a>,\u201d you can always expect that familiar Chris Pratt<\/a> charm.<\/p>\n \n\tIn a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, Pratt discussed the similarities between his \u201cGuardians\u201d character, Peter Quill\/Star-Lord, and his \u201cElectric State\u201d character, Keats. Pratt said that the roles were no doubt similar, adding that when it comes to movies with a \u201cbig commercial tone,\u201d he\u2019ll almost always play a \u201c\u2018Sliding Doors\u2019 version\u201d of a scoundrel adventurer. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI kind of like to think, hopefully, that\u2019s like every character I ever play though, in this tone, something that\u2019s like a big, family friendly, raucous, adventure, sci-fi film,\u201d Pratt said. \u201cWhen it\u2019s a big commercial tone like this, you\u2019re going to get a \u2018Sliding Doors\u2019 version of the characters that I like to play.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn terms of specific similarities between Peter Quill and Keats, Pratt said they both \u201chave a journey; they find something bigger than themselves to want to fight for and are willing to sacrifice themselves for.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThere\u2019s [Keats] talking to an animated character through the course of it. So I guess, even now, just in this interview, I\u2019m realizing that there are similarities,\u201d Pratt said. \u201c[Keats] kind of feels like what Peter Quill could have been if he didn\u2019t get picked up and go to space, but instead lived through a robot war and went on the run with his robot friend.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tPratt has starred in three stand-alone \u201cGuardians\u201d films as Peter Quill and made his debut as Keats in Netflix<\/a>\u2018s \u201cThe Electric State\u201d on March 14.
