Sean Kanu, the son of Nigerian football legend Kanu Nwankwo, has signed his first professional contract with Polish third-tier side G\u00f3rnik Polkowice, Soccernet.ng<\/a> reports.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This marks the beginning of a professional journey for the 19-year-old who is expected to shine more than his father did at his prime.<\/p>\n

Having honed his skills in various academies, including Watford FC\u2019s youth system in England, the young forward is now set to make his mark in Poland\u2019s competitive football scene.<\/p>\n

With a strong footballing pedigree, Sean aims to carve out his own path while following in the footsteps of his father, who enjoyed a storied career with top European clubs such as Ajax, Portsmouth, and Arsenal.<\/p>\n

Following his unveiling, Sean\u2019s mother took to social media<\/a> to express her pride and excitement over her son\u2019s achievement.<\/p>\n

In the video, Sean talked about how his father has made him proud by winning numerous awards and records, leading the Nigerian team to an Olympic victory by scoring the game-winning goal in their 4-3 semi-final victory over Brazil, and winning African Best Footballer of the Year in the same year.<\/p>\n

As said in the video, Kanu gives his kid a motivating speech in which he explains that his determination helped him beat the sickness and accomplish much more.<\/p>\n
