Sui just announced that they\u2019ve been added to President Trump\u2019s World Liberty Financial portfolio. It\u2019s a big deal and a much higher profile for the high flying project.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Here\u2019s what Sui being part of $WLFI really means.<\/p>\n

The Announcement<\/strong><\/h5>\n

As we\u2019ve seen, the Trump project has a bias in favor of DeFi projects AND for US-based projects. Sui satisfies both.\u00a0Sui and WLFI<\/a> have signed a strategic reserve and product collaboration deal, which entails WLFI adding the project to its portfolio and the two teams working together on product development.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve seen from WLFI the combination of projects they are using like AAVE and LINK and projects they find strategic like wBTC and MOVE to be among their holdings. Maybe we should have seen this coming. Eric Trump did reveal in January that he holds the project in his personal portfolio.<\/p>\n

Even still, this announcement caught many of us, including fans of the project, off guard.<\/p>\n

What This Means for Sui<\/strong><\/h5>\n

First, what this means is a higher profile. People who don\u2019t know what a blockchain is will be talking about them now. For a well-managed team like Sui, this is a good thing even though it\u2019s a lot to live up to.<\/p>\n

The team was first approached, according to members of the Sui team, for its technology and potential to play a role in modern digitized finance. WLFI is clearly interested in MOVE language-based projects, and already has $MOVE from Movement Labs in their portfolio. Sui was also a major sponsor of the crypto ball that took place during the Trump inauguration.<\/p>\n

WLFI has said that Sui\u2019s flexible and scalable design makes asset ownership secure and accessible to everyone.\u00a0 The Sui team told us that a deeper partnership is quickly coming together given WLFI\u2019s ambitions across CeFi and DeFi. and how Sui\u2019s technology is in a good position to help them succeed.<\/p>\n

Sui is up 19% in the last 24 hours, per CoinGecko<\/a>, with a price of just under $3. Its all-time high is $5.35 from back in January and it\u2019s up 106% over the last 12 months. This puts Sui in the top tier of performers not named Bitcoin in the last 12 months. We expect this excellent performance to continue with the help of this new partnership.<\/p>\n
