And I\u2019m going to take a closer look at three Sui ecosystem protocols, including Walrus.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><strong>Walrus Protocol ($WAL)<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.walrus.xyz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Walrus Protocol<\/a> ($WAL) is about to launch its mainnet next month. It\u2019s a decentralized storage solution, from the Mysten Labs team. <\/span><span>That\u2019s the same team that\u2019s behind Sui, Deepbook, and the Sui Wallet. With its mainnet, we should also see the launch of their $WAL token.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">???? Walrus secures the front end running.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Haedal will offer liquid staking. There will be a $haWAL liquid staking token.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Tusky, a decentralized storage maxi. It moved from Arweave to Walrus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>One Comics, they\u2019re Asia\u2019s largest martial arts media platform.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>So, we see a steady increase in protocols that partner with Walrus Protocol.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b><i>Walrus Compared to Other Decentralized Storage Protocols<\/i><\/b><\/h6>\n<p><span>We can also compare Walrus to other existing decentralized storage options. Advantages of Walrus are, among others,<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>It is more cost-effective and secure.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Walrus achieves programmable decentralized storage through the Sui Network. This means that it offers functionality beyond basic data storage. You can transfer stored data to other users.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span><span>You can delete or modify data. Arweave, for example, doesn\u2019t allow this. Walrus isn\u2019t exempt from this. Part of these fees are burned. In other words, Walrus makes $SUI deflationary. The more data we store in Walrus, the more $SUI gets burned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>So, keep an eye out on Walrus and its $WAL token launch. It may become an absolute killer token, like $DEEP turned out to be. That\u2019s Deepbook\u2019s token, also from the Mysten Labs team. And that\u2019s up now, let\u2019s take a look at Deepbook.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><strong>Deepbook ($DEEP)<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><span><a href=\"https:\/\/deepbook.tech\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deepbook<\/a> ($DEEP) is another project by Mysten Labs. However, if you\u2019re looking to find the Deepbook app, I need to disappoint you. <\/span><span>Deepbook has no UI. How is that possible if it claims to be the \u2018backbone of Sui <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altcoinbuzz.io\/category\/defi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DeFi<\/a> liquidity\u2019?<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Advanced trading needs data<\/p>\n<p>Tokenized assets demand seamless matching<\/p>\n<p>DEXs rely on deep liquidity<\/p>\n<p>DeFi derivatives require precision<\/p>\n<p>All on DeepBook\u2014the first programmable order book blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 DeepBook Protocol on Sui (@DeepBookonSui) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DeepBookonSui\/status\/1892957847148724540?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 21, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>Well, many Sui ecosystem DeFi apps run Deepbook on their app. But in the background. <\/span><span>So, most of the time you don\u2019t even know that you\u2019re using Deepbook. Nonetheless, Deepbook has quite an impressive ecosystem. For example,<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Aftermath<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Kriya<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/deepbook.cetus.zone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>Cetus<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Flow Finance<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Hop aggregator<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Turbos<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>7k<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>They all use Deepbook, and a lot more projects are in the pipeline. <\/span><span>This currently represents around 25% of all <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/chain\/Sui\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TVL<\/a> on Sui.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Another advantage that Deepbook offers is an orderbook. In DeFi, that\u2019s not a given. For example, an AMM (automated marker maker) works with liquidity pools. <\/span><span>Deepbook allows you to use DeFi platforms with a similar UI as you\u2019re used to when using a CEX. <\/span><span>For example, it offers limit orders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This orderbook is a CLOB or a decentralized central limit order book. A CLOB matches buyers and sellers. For instance, Binance or Coinbase also use CLOBs. <\/span><span>Or how about the NYSE, the New York Stock Exchange?<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><em><strong>The @$DEEP TGE and Airdrop<\/strong><\/em><\/h6>\n<p><span>The <a href=\"https:\/\/deepbook.tech\/deep-token\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$DEEP token<\/a> TGE (token generation event) was also very successful. Within a week, it did a 5x. <\/span><span>The launch was in October 2024. It went from under 2 cents to just over 8 cents. Its current ATH is 34 cents, which was about a month ago. That\u2019s a 19x. There was a generous airdrop, so if you held on to that, you did well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The current <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/deepbook\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$DEEP price<\/a> is 14 cents with a 356 million market cap. Out of the 10 billion tokens, 2.5 billion circulate. Look at how strong $SUI and $DEEP have been coming back after dips. This is a great entry point.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><strong>Cetus Protocol ($CETUS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cetus.zone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cetus Protocol<\/a> ($CETUS) is the seventh-biggest project <\/span><span>by market cap in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/categories\/sui-ecosystem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sui ecosystem<\/a>. <\/span><span>In <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/chain\/Sui\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TVL<\/a>, it takes third spot and is the DEX with the highest TVL.\u00a0<\/span><span>It works on both Sui and Aptos, since both make use of the Move coding language.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Besides being a DEX, it offers a novel approach with its concentrated liquidity model. It allows you to add their liquidity within custom price ranges.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This contrasts with most other DEXes. They distribute your liquidity uniformly. In other words, they use the entire price curve. To an extent, this wastes provided liquidity. With Cetus, you can use the full range by customizing it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>You can <a href=\"https:\/\/app.cetus.zone\/dca\/?chain=sui\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">swap<\/a> with limit orders or use the DCA (Dollar cost average) feature. In the meantime, Cetus uses the Deepbook CLOB (Central Limit Order Book) in the background.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Cetus also allows you to stake your $CETUS. You get <a href=\"https:\/\/app.cetus.zone\/xcetus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$xCETUS<\/a> in return. The APR fluctuates, depending on the $CETUS price and the real-time value of the rewards. Currently, it\u2019s around 31%. The weekly rewards you receive are in $SUI, $CETUS, and $USDC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Cetus also recently introduced flash loans. This allows you to borrow large amounts of crypto without collateral. However, you need to pay the loan back within the same transaction. You can use them, for example, for arbitrage.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">????
