Chennedy Carter<\/a> has yet to be signed by a WNBA<\/a> team this offseason \u2014 but she continues to dominate the overseas competition. <\/p>\n Carter, who last played for the Chicago Sky<\/a>, just posted a ridiculous statline in an upset playoff victory in the Women\u2019s Chinese Basketball Association<\/a> (WCBA): 52 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. <\/p>\n Carter plays for the 13th-seeded Wuhan club, who defeated the 4th-seeded Shanxi 88-86 in the opening game of the WCBA playoffs. Notably, she shot 6-11 from three in the postseason match-up \u2014 a particularly impressive feat considering she\u2019s not known for her three-point shooting. She\u2019s also averaging 6.3 assists per game \u2014 second most in the WCBA \u2014 and 3 steals, which leads the league. <\/p>\n Despite her strong overseas play, and the fact she\u2019s coming off of a career year with the Sky, Carter has yet to be signed<\/a> by a WNBA team. Carter averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists last season, and shot a career-high 48.7% from the field. The four-year WNBA veteran has spent two seasons with the Atlanta Dream<\/a> (2020-2021), one with the Los Angeles Sparks<\/a> (2022), and one with the Sky (2024). She\u2019s very likely the most talented free agent on the market who played for a WNBA team last season; Emma Meesseman<\/a> and Elena Delle Donne are also both still available, but neither played in the WNBA last year. <\/p>\n\n
